Role Overview

Business Analyst - AVP – AVP Corporate Title: AVP. Location: Bangalore, India. Our technology teams are responsible for all flavours of technology applications of DWS for the passive investment area. The focus is on analysis, process defining and support of the development team of the software. We are looking for a business functional analyst for a project with a focus on passive investment. In this role you are responsible for the creation of Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) as part of the Xtrackers SEA project – the new investment platform for our passive business. You play an important interface role between the business on the one side and engineering teams to enable goal‑oriented project implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, create and adapt specifications (e.g. BRDs, user stories) to support the development team.
• Work closely with the business (product owner, portfolio managers) to understand the vision and added value of the project.
• Organise workshops with stakeholders, research and contribute material to clarify and coordinate requirements to cover all aspects of functional design.
• Review and test the project results with selected stakeholders to ensure the requirements have been implemented and met.
• Cooperate and coordinate with other business analysts within and outside the project team on an international level.
• Support the project manager, development and test team from design through development to testing, and in the post‑deployment phase.
• Maintain pro‑active and open communication and collaboration with all stakeholders to identify and analyse requirements and processes.

Key Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a known university.
• Strong analysis and organisational skills and time management, with the ability to be flexible.
• Knowledge of passive investment processes and products.
• Content and scope management.
• Excellent communication skills with internal clients and technical staff.
• Logical thinking, critical and constructive questioning in a complex environment to create precise solutions.
• Negotiation skills to build consensus between competing groups.
• Ability to identify and define priorities with clients.
• Proven experience organising and moderating workshops or brainstorming sessions for requirements and specifications of sophisticated web front‑ends (navigation look & feel, etc.).
• Proven experience as a business analyst in the financial industry, especially within passive fund management.
• Willingness to work in an international team with an agile project approach.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
