Job summary

Qualifications

We’re Hiring | IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst

Location: Pune
Experience: 1–4 Years (Fresh candidates with relevant ITSM/ITAM exposure and professionals with up to 4 years of experience are encouraged to apply.)

Join a dynamic enterprise IT team where you’ll play a key role in managing and optimizing IT assets throughout their lifecycle while ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets—from procurement to retirement
• Maintain accurate asset inventory and Configuration Items (CI) in ServiceNow CMDB
• Perform Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) activities
• Track software licenses, ensure compliance, and identify optimization opportunities
• Conduct hardware audits, inventory validation, and asset reconciliation
• Generate reports and dashboards on asset utilization, lifecycle, and compliance metrics
• Support IT audits and ensure adherence to IT asset management policies
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Vendors, and ITSM teams
• Maintain asset ownership, lifecycle status, and documentation
• Identify automation opportunities and drive continuous process improvements

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 1–4 years of experience in IT Asset Management / ITSM
• Hands‑on knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM) & Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
• Experience with ServiceNow ITAM/CMDB (Preferred)
• Knowledge of Asset Lifecycle Management & Configuration Item (CI) Management
• Understanding of ITSM processes (Incident, Change & Problem Management)
• Vendor & Procurement Management
• Inventory Management & Asset Auditing
• Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills

Preferred Certifications

• ServiceNow ITAM Certification (Good to Have)
• ITIL Foundation (Preferred)
• Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) (Optional)
• CIS-HAM Certification (Good to Have)
