Job summary

NTT DATA Services is seeking an IT Applications Service Manager to support a major healthcare provider in Noida, with delivery across Bangalore or Hyderabad. The role requires leading end-to-end application support (L2/L3), ITIL-aligned processes, and close collaboration with clinical and operations teams.

The candidate will manage vendor relationships, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance and risk controls while coordinating with 24x7 shift rosters as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the Healthcare Provider domain with understanding of Clinical Core areas.
• 10+ years of experience in application support, IT operations, or healthcare IT service delivery.
• Hands-on expertise in Incident, Problem, and Change Management aligned with ITIL.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day application support operations (L2/L3) across healthcare domains.
• Oversee Incident, Problem & Change Management processes per ITIL.
• Ensure timely incident resolution and escalation; drive RCA for problems.
• Approve and govern releases and changes; monitor SLA/KPI compliance.
• Act as bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams; oversee hospital operations domains.
• Coordinate with third-party providers; conduct service reviews and reporting.
• Engage with clinical leaders, operations, and compliance teams.
• Lead and manage support teams (L2/L3 engineers, SMEs).
• Oversee compliance and risk management.

Our client is a leading healthcare provider in the United States. NTT is entering into a contract with the client to deliver end-to-end services, providing transformative application support and maintenance.

Position's General Duties and Tasks

In these roles you will be responsible for:

• Lead day-to-day application support operations (L2/L3) across multiple healthcare domains like Clinical systems (EHR, LIS, Oncology),Ancillary systems (Pharmacy, HIM, Laboratory),Population Health and Analytics platforms and Enterprise applications.
• Incident, Problem & Change Management - Oversee ITIL processes:
• Incident Management – Ensure timely resolution and escalation
• Problem Management – Drive RCA and defect elimination
• Change Management – Approve and govern releases and changes
• SLA’s/ KPI compliance
• Application & Domain Ownership: Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, understand healthcare workflows:, Provide oversight across multiple areas of hospital operations
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management - Coordinate with third-party support providers, Conduct service review meetings and reporting, Engage with clinical leaders, operations, and compliance teams.
• Team Leadership & People Management: Lead and manage support teams (L2/L3 engineers, SMEs)
• Compliance & Risk Management

Requirements for this role include:

What are the required skills for this role? (3-5 at the most).

• Proven experience in the Healthcare Provider domain, with strong understanding of Clinical Core in the areas of Clinical operations, Acute EHR, Ambulatory EHR, Critical Care, Nursing, Surgical Services and regulated healthcare environments.
• 10+ years of experience in application support, project management, IT operations, or healthcare IT service delivery.
• Hands-on expertise in Incident, Problem, and Change Management aligned with ITIL best practices.
• Experience supporting COTS healthcare applications and managing multi-vendor ecosystems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to resolve complex L2/L3 issues.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, healthcare data governance, and security/privacy compliance requirements.
• Experience coordinating patching, upgrades, release cycles, and multi-environment deployments

The shift timings can be changed as per client requirements. Additionally, resources may have to do overtime and work on weekend’s basis business requirement.
