The Department of Dean Outreach has issued Notification No. 2 for the engagement of Technical Apprentices/Interns for the year 2025‑26.

Position and Posts

Technical Apprentice / Intern – 2 posts.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualified graduates who have completed their qualifying degree (UG/PG) with at least 60% marks from recognized universities or institutions in India. The Bachelor’s degree must have been awarded after October 2020. Master’s candidates must hold both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. The discipline required is:

• Mass Communication / Journalism / Media Studies – Bachelors/Masters in the relevant field.

Application Process

Applicants must complete a two‑step registration process:

1. Registration on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) Portal:
   • Visit the NATS portal website.
   • If already registered, log in; if not, register using the District field (PULWAMA) and Institute name: "Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora, Pulwama, Kashmir".
   • Fill in all required fields and submit the application.
   • Print the application form for later submission.
2. Registration on the University Portal:
   • After successful NATS registration, use the link https://recruitment.iust.ac.in/ to complete registration on the university portal.
   • Print the completed application form.
3. Submit both printed NATS and University application forms as hard copies along with a non‑refundable fee receipt of Rs 200/- to the office of the Dean Outreach.

Important Dates

Shortlisting and Selection

• Merit in qualifying degree: 75%
• Interview performance: 25%
• Preference for candidates with computer knowledge (e.g., MS‑Office).
• Selection will be conducted in phases as per requirement.

Stipend

• Rs 12,000 per month to the technical intern.
• Breakup: Rs 4,500 from National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (DBT) and Rs 7,500 from Islamic University of Science and Technology.

Important Points

• Please ensure the bank account is seeded with the Aadhaar card.
• The mobile number must be linked with the Aadhaar card.
• The name on the Aadhaar card and the bank passbook must be identical.
• Completed apprenticeship or internship trainees are not eligible to apply again.

• The university reserves the right to change the number of apprentices advertised without providing reasons.
