Important Instructions

• Only those candidates who are registered with Council of Architecture (COA) under the provisions of the Architects Act, 1972 shall be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor (Architecture).
• Experience shall mean professional experience and/or teaching and/or research in the field of Architecture, counted from the date of registration with Council of Architecture.
• The University reserves the right to terminate the contract mid-way in view of unsatisfactory performance of the candidate by giving one-month notice or one-month salary in lieu of notice.
• The candidate who intends to resign shall have to submit one-month notice in advance or one-month salary in lieu of notice.

Advertisement Notice for Contractual Assistant Professors

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement as contractual Assistant Professor(s) on academic arrangement for teaching, research and allied academic activities in the following Departments/Subjects:

• Civil Engineering

  B.E. / B. Tech. / B. S. and M. E. / M. Tech. / M.S. or Integrated M. Tech. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees. OR Ph.D. from Institute of National importance with GATE/GPAT/CEED directly after the Bachelor’s degree. OR The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking at any time by any one of the following: Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) / the Times Higher Education (THE) or the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai). (i) A Master’s degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/OBC non-creamy) or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

• Computer Science

  (i) Master’s degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer) or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (ii) Candidates must have cleared NET (National Eligibility Test) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and amendments. Note: NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in subjects for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by UGC, CSIR, or similar test.

Emoluments

• PG (excluding Arch): Rs. 45,000/- per month
• NET/SET/GATE: Rs. 48,000/- per month
• Ph.D.: Rs. 50,000/- per month
• NET/SET/GATE and Ph.D.: Rs. 55,000/- per month

Tenure

The engagement is initially for the year 2025 ending 31st December, 2025 or till the post is filled on substantive basis (whichever is earlier) and is extendable on the basis of performance appraisal subject to approval by the University based on recommendations of the Department.

As per norms of the university.
