Job summary

Tata Electronics TEPL in India seeks an experienced quality engineer to perform in-process QC inspections across semiconductor production stages. You will develop QC procedures, analyze defects, and work with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.

The role requires hands-on knowledge of IC packaging and PCBA, familiarity with ISO 9001/IATF 16949, and experience using SPC, FMEA, MSA, and 8D tools to ensure compliance and continuous quality enhancement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Familiar with JMP or Minitab statistical tools.
• Deep understanding of IC packaging and PCBA.
• Quality control certifications (Six Sigma) are a plus.
• Hands-on experience with SPC, FMEA, MSA, 8D, 7QC tools.

• Implement and maintain documentation for quality control procedures and inspection results.
• Work closely with production teams to provide real-time feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular audits to assess adherence to quality control protocols.
• Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with RD teams to integrate quality control measures into new product development.

Qualifications

Masters/bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

Experience

At least 5 years of relevant experience in EMS industry

Essential Attributes

• Strong knowledge of industry standards (ISO 9001/IATF 16949).
• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and techniques (JMP/Minitab).
• In-depth knowledge of IC Packaging processes and PCBA.
