Job summary

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art semiconductor foundry. The role focuses on in-process QC, developing procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive defect reduction in manufacturing of ICs and PCBA.

The candidate will perform SPC/MSA/MFA-based analyses, implement 8D and 7QC tools, and support R&D integration for new product development. 5+ years in EMS with ISO/IATF exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Masters/Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience in quality control tools (SPC, FMEA, MSA, 8D, 7QC tools).
  • At least 5 years of relevant EMS industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standards.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (JMP/Minitab).
  • Knowledge of IC packaging processes and PCBA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process quality control inspections at various stages of semiconductor production.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to identify defects and deviations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and root cause analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain documentation for quality control procedures and inspection results.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on QC procedures and best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess adherence to QC protocols.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate QC measures into new product development.

Qualifications:
  • Masters/bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Need hands on experience in quality control tools (SPC, FMEA, MSA, 8D, 7QC tools).
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in EMS industry
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards (ISO 9001/IATF 16949).
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and techniques (JMP/Minitab).
  • In-depth knowledge of IC Packaging processes and PCBA.
  • Quality control certifications (e.g., Six Sigma) are a plus.
