Job summary

Husky Injection Molding Systems is seeking an IoT Software Developer to build software for edge devices, industrial machines, and cloud platforms. You will develop, test, and maintain applications running on Windows-based edge devices and cloud services, enabling secure data collection and remote management at scale.

You will work with a cross-functional DET team, apply TDD, CI/CD practices, and collaborate with product owners and QA to deliver reliable solutions across global customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in C# and the .NET platform.
• Working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts.
• Familiarity with device communication protocols such as MQTT, OPC-UA, or similar technologies.
• Experience using AI assisted coding tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

IoT Software Developer

As an IoT Edge Software Developer within the Device Engineering Team (DET), you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and support of software running on edge devices that collect machine data, communicate securely with cloud platforms, and enable remote management at scale. You will work with Windows-based edge devices, cloud-connected applications, and device lifecycle management processes that support customers worldwide.

This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys hands‑on software development, troubleshooting complex device and connectivity issues, and working at the intersection of industrial systems, edge computing, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

Technical Implementation

• Implement software components and features based on provided designs, specifications, and guidance.

• Contribute to the development of reliable, maintainable, and secure code within the assigned scope.
