Job summary

Husky TechnologiesTM is seeking an IoT Edge Software Developer to join the Device Engineering Team. You will develop software for edge devices, collect machine data, and securely connect to cloud platforms.

You will work on Windows-based devices and cloud-connected applications, enabling remote management at scale. The role suits hands-on developers who enjoy solving complex device and connectivity challenges at the intersection of industrial systems, edge computing, and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C# and the .NET platform.
• Working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts.
• Familiarity with device communication protocols such as MQTT, OPC-UA, or similar technologies.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Assets: IoT, industrial automation, edge computing, or device lifecycle management.

• Implement software components and features based on provided designs, specifications, and guidance.
• Contribute to the development of reliable, maintainable, and secure code within the assigned scope.
• Apply agreed coding standards, patterns, and best practices in daily development work.
• Make basic technical decisions within assigned tasks, escalating questions or uncertainties when needed.
• Translate assigned requirements and tasks into working software.
• Complete development work in alignment with sprint goals and delivery commitments.
• Contribute to task breakdowns and effort estimates for assigned work.
• Proactively raise risks, blockers, or implementation issues to the team.
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews, incorporating feedback and learning from peers.
• Ensure individual contributions meet Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) criteria.

IoT Software Developer

As an IoT Edge Software Developer within the Device Engineering Team (DET), you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and support of software running on edge devices that collect machine data, communicate securely with cloud platforms, and enable remote management at scale. You will work with Windows-based edge devices, cloud-connected applications, and device lifecycle management processes that support customers worldwide.

This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys hands-on software development, troubleshooting complex device and connectivity issues, and working at the intersection of industrial systems, edge computing, and cloud technologies.
