Qualifications

About the Role

Ganit Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a highly experienced IoT Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting end-to-end IoT platforms, integrating edge devices with cloud ecosystems, and driving digital transformation initiatives across industrial or enterprise environments.

The role requires close collaboration with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and customers to define solution architecture, technology strategy, and implementation roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end IoT solutions covering edge devices, gateways, cloud platforms, analytics, and enterprise integrations.
• Design scalable and secure IoT platforms capable of supporting millions of connected devices.
• Define solution architecture, technical standards, frameworks, and best practices for IoT applications.
• Lead architecture discussions and provide technical direction to engineering teams.
• Design device communication protocols and messaging frameworks such as MQTT, AMQP, CoAP, HTTP, OPC-UA, and Modbus.
• Build and architect cloud-native IoT solutions using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop architecture for real-time telemetry, monitoring, predictive analytics, and remote device management.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, security, reliability, and performance of IoT ecosystems.
• Define API strategies and integrate IoT platforms with enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, MES, and Data Lakes.
• Drive adoption of Edge Computing, Digital Twin, and AI/ML capabilities within IoT platforms.
• Conduct architecture reviews, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), technology evaluations, and feasibility assessments.
• Establish engineering standards, development practices, and architecture governance.
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical guidance to senior developers and architects.
• Collaborate with customers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive technology strategy and long-term IoT platform roadmaps.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 7–10 years of experience in IoT architecture.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale IoT solutions.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Strong knowledge of IoT communication protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, CoAP, HTTP, OPC-UA, and Modbus.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of edge computing, device management, telemetry, data pipelines, and real-time analytics.
• Experience designing secure, highly available, and scalable IoT platforms.
• Strong knowledge of API architecture and enterprise system integration.
• Experience with Industrial IoT (IIoT), Manufacturing, Automotive, Energy, or Smart Devices is highly preferred.
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled IoT solutions is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, DevOps, and modern cloud technologies is desirable.
• Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or IoT will be an advantage.
