HCL Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced iOS Security Engineer to own the iOS component of the Runtime Protection Agent. You will build a lightweight, high‑performing SDK and collaborate closely with the Android team to ensure a unified security posture across platforms.

You will lead low‑level threat detection via C/C++ integration, develop the iOS demo app, and support SDK integration for product teams. 5+ years in mobile development and strong iOS expertise are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mobile development with expert iOS (Swift/Objective-C).
• Demonstrable knowledge of Android (Kotlin/Java) for cross‑platform work.
• Strong C/C++ skills with interoperability to Swift/ObjC.
• Deep understanding of iOS security model, sandbox, and sysctl.
• Experience with reverse engineering tools is desirable.

Position Summary: You will be a key member of our security team, taking primary ownership of the iOS component of our Runtime Protection Agent. Your mission is to build a lightweight, performant SDK that detects and mitigates threats on iOS devices, while collaborating closely with your Android counterpart to maintain a consistent, cross-platform security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and maintenance of the Runtime Protection Agent SDK for iOS (Swift/Objective-C).
• Implement and optimize low-level native code (C/C++) to detect threats like jailbreaking, debuggers, and instrumentation frameworks (e.g., Frida).
• Collaborate with the Android team to align on threat detection logic and ensure a unified SDK architecture across platforms.
• Create and maintain the iOS demo application and support product teams with SDK integration.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of mobile development experience with deep, expert-level proficiency in iOS (Swift/Objective-C).
• Demonstrable experience with or strong knowledge of Android development (Kotlin/Java) is required for effective cross-platform collaboration.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and its interoperability with Swift/Objective-C for building performant, low-level detection mechanisms.
• Deep understanding of the iOS security model, sandbox, and low-level system APIs (e.g., sysctl). A working knowledge of the Android security equivalent is a major plus.
• Experience with reverse engineering and tamping tools is highly desirable.
