Job summary

Franklin Templeton seeks an experienced Investment Risk Specialist to monitor and communicate risks across portfolios, assess risk in new and existing holdings, and analyze data for trend insights. You will craft clear risk presentations for multiple teams, lead innovative risk analyses, and mentor risk analysts as needed.

The role requires 5+ years in investment risk and a quantitative Bachelor's degree, with a Master’s preferred and FRM/CFA progress encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of investment risk experience.
• Progress toward FRM or CFA preferred.

About The Department

• The Investment Risk Management Team oversees risk for fixed‑income sectors, derivatives, and strategies. We design frameworks that align with the organization’s risk appetite. Our team collaborates closely with investment professionals managing billions of dollars. Experience, Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of investment risk experience.
• Progress toward Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong quantitative and technical expertise.
• Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and risk models (Bloomberg PORT, Aladdin).
• Knowledge of Python, VBA, PowerBI
• Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to quickly assemble clear, accurate, and visually effective presentations.
