Senior Lead – Application Developer & Project Manager (Intralogistics & Warehouse Automation)


Summary

We are looking for a Senior Lead – Application Developer & Project Manager with 10–15 years of experience to lead the design, development, and delivery of intralogistics and warehouse automation solutions. This role combines hands‑on application development, system integration, and end‑to‑end project ownership for automated warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing logistics environments.



  • Lead the design and development of automation applications for AS/RS, conveyors, sortation systems, pallet and case handling solutions, AGVs/AMRs, and goods‑to‑person systems.

  • Define application architecture integrating WMS, WCS, PLCs and material handling equipment.

  • Lead development of routing, sequencing, task allocation, exception handling, and recovery logic.

  • Integrate warehouse automation systems with WMS, ERP, MES, and host systems.

  • Oversee system testing, simulation, tuning, and performance optimization for throughput and reliability.

  • Support commissioning, go‑live, and stabilization of warehouse automation systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications


  • 10+ years of experience in intralogistics or warehouse automation systems.

  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, material flow, and logistics operations.

  • Experience with WMS/WCS architecture and integration.

  • Hands‑on experience integrating PLC‑based systems (Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff, etc.).

  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, or Modbus.

  • Proven experience delivering complex warehouse automation projects.


Preferred / Good to Have


  • Experience with high‑throughput distribution centers or e‑commerce fulfillment centers.

  • Exposure to simulation, digital twins or throughput modeling.

  • Experience integrating vision, barcode, RFID, dimensioning or weighing systems.

  • PMP / Scrum or equivalent project management certification.

  • Willingness to travel for project execution and site commissioning.
