Job summary

Medico Hub in Dibrugarh, Assam, seeks a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist to lead our on-site cath-lab team and perform complex PCI and diagnostic angiography, with IVUS/FFR integration and emphasis on safety and outcomes.

You will mentor fellows, support clinical governance, and participate in 24/7 on-call duties as per rota while expanding regional cardiac services.

Qualifications

• DM/DrNB in Cardiology or equivalent interventional cardiology fellowship.
• Valid medical registration in India and eligibility to practice in Assam.
• Proven clinical competence in cath-lab procedures with emphasis on procedural safety and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform diagnostic coronary angiography and PCI, including complex cases, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes.
• Provide timely emergency cath-lab response for ACS and coordinate reperfusion pathways with emergency teams.
• Interpret invasive haemodynamics and IVUS/FFR data to guide management and stent optimization strategies.
• Manage peri-procedural and post-procedural patient care—antithrombotic strategies, hemodynamic support, and discharge planning.
• Supervise and mentor cardiology fellows, residents and cath lab staff; contribute to governance and quality-improvement metrics.
• Oversee cath lab operations including inventory, radiation safety, infection control and accurate procedural documentation and outcome reporting.

Expanding cath-lab services to strengthen regional cardiac referral care and procedural volume in Northeast India.

Primary Title:

Consultant Interventional Cardiologist (On-site) — Dibrugarh, Assam

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and perform diagnostic coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including complex cases, ensuring procedural safety and optimal clinical outcomes.
• Provide timely emergency cath-lab response for acute coronary syndromes (primary PCI for STEMI) and coordinate reperfusion pathways with emergency teams.
• Interpret invasive haemodynamics and intracoronary imaging; integrate IVUS/OCT and FFR data into patient management and stent optimization strategies.
• Manage peri-procedural and post-procedural patient care—antithrombotic strategies, hemodynamic support, complication management, discharge planning and follow-up.
• Supervise and mentor cardiology fellows, residents and cath lab staff; contribute to clinical governance, protocol development and quality-improvement metrics.
• Oversee cath lab operations including inventory, radiation safety, infection control and accurate procedural documentation and outcome reporting.
