Ather Energy is seeking an International Business Operations Manager to drive expansion and partner management across global markets. You will work with distributor partners to scale retail and service networks, coordinate regional operations, and align EXIM and supply chain processes for efficient market entry.

The role requires 5–10 years in regional or international operations, an engineering degree and possibly an MBA or related masters.

About the Team and the Role

The International Business team at Ather is responsible for driving the expansion of Ather's intelligent electric scooters across global markets.

This role is for a Country Operations Manager who will work closely with distributor partners to drive retail, service, and market growth across target regions, focusing on hands-on partner management, network scaling, technical support coordination, operational streamlining, and local market share expansion.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end retail and service market operations directly with distributor partners to grow regional business.
• Ensure adoption and implementation of Ather-recommended business practices across all partner touchpoints for high-standard customer experience.
• Plan and operationalize new retail and service points in alignment with regional network expansion requirements.
• Compile and share comprehensive MIS reports covering market scenarios, regional dynamics, and overall performance.
• Coordinate product issue resolution by sharing technical reports with core teams and implementing countermeasures with distributors.
• Design and execute targeted regional strategies in collaboration with distributor teams to increase market share.
• Streamline import/export (EXIM) operations, ensuring order and dispatch management adheres strictly to company procedures.
• Optimize resources and inventory levels through standardized order processing and supply chain alignment.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (MBA, Master's in Commerce, Supply Chain, or International Business preferred)
• 5-10 years of experience in regional operations, international channel management, distributor handling, or international supply chain operations

Must Have Competencies

• Expertise in distributor management and operational leadership across retail and service domains
• Proficiency in import/export (EXIM) procedures, shipping alignment, and inventory management principles
• Strong analytical ability to track regional metrics, evaluate market scenarios, and compile structured MIS reports
• Technical aptitude for reporting product issues systematically and driving the deployment of corrective measures

Good to Have Competencies

• Understanding of international trade documentation standards, shipping terminology (Incoterms), and customs processes
• Knowledge of regional operations within automotive, electric vehicle (EV), or high-tech mobility sectors
• Application of operational efficiency techniques to improve partner workflows and supply chain processes
