Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Vadodara, Gujarat, invites a Transformer Design Engineer to join our Global Engineering Center. You will contribute to oil-type transformer design, including windings, cores, cleats, and leading edge design within an international team.

You will engage with global technical teams to ensure design excellence, comply with regulations, and deliver robust power transformer solutions while upholding safety and integrity values.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2–12 years of experience in transformer design for oil-filled transformers.
• Office-based role in Vadodara, India.
• Proficiency in Creo and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal design of transformers including cleats and leads and/or core, active part and windings.
• Coordinate design activities within a global factories network.
• Participate in internal design concept reviews.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• The successful candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Oil Type Power Transformer design covering different countries.


• Responsible to perform internal design of the transformer including cleats and leads and or core, Active part and windings design according to factory limitation, guideline, and checklist


• Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.


• Participation in internal design concept reviews.


• Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.


• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

Your background

• B.E / B. Tech Electrical /Mechanical Engineering.


• 2 - 12 year’s experience working in internal design of the transformer including cleats and leads and or core, Active part and windings for oil filled, Power Transformers manufacturing Industry.


• Candidate will be working from office.


• preferrable from Transformer industry.


• Must have good knowledge on 3D modelling experience in Creo tool.


• Candidates with higher/lower experience also to be considered.


• Knowledge on CAD software, 3D Modelling software like Creo would be advantageous.


• Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
  
• experience in core, active part, winding, cleats & leads would be preferred.


• Experience on Microsoft office and tools.


• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.


• Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.


• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
