Job summary

Allcargo Global is seeking an Audit Assistant to support the development and execution of the internal audit program. The role emphasizes adherence to ICAI/CIA standards, timely delivery, and collaboration across audit teams.

The incumbent will draft observations, quantify impacts, and recommend controls enhancements while guiding process owners on best practices and compliance. A focus on documentation and escalating risks is key.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of the audit work plan.
• Ensure timely execution of internal audits in accordance with the annual audit scope and audit standards issued by ICAI/CIA.
• Support co-team members in the execution of audit assignments.
• Draft audit observations, quantify the impact, identify root causes, and provide recommendations to enhance organizational performance.
• Prepare draft audit reports for respective assignments.
• Create awareness and guide process owners on the implementation of controls, sound business practices, and effective processes.
• Follow up on audit reports and ensure timely compliance.
• Identify control weaknesses and escalate them to senior management.
• Assist in developing policy guidelines for business processes and systems.
• Develop an understanding of company operations and participate in implementing process changes in coordination with the respective functional in-charge.
• Assist in creating awareness around improving controls, minimizing costs, and enhancing business performance.
• Develop the skill sets required to effectively deal with ambiguity.
• Maintain proper audit documentation and records.
• Undertake any other assignments entrusted by the Senior Manager and/or Chief Assurance & Risk Executive.
