Job summary

Zepto is seeking a CA Industrial Trainee to join the Controllership & Business Finance team in Bengaluru. The role offers hands-on exposure to financial reporting, controllership and business finance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CA Intermediate cleared as prerequisite for Industrial Training.
• Eligible for CA Industrial Training per ICAI requirements.
• At least 1 year of Articleship experience completed.

Job description

We are looking for a CA Industrial Trainee to join our Controllership & Business Finance team in Bengaluru.

This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to financial reporting, controllership, business finance, reconciliations, internal controls and business performance analysis in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end and period-end closing activities, including provisions, accruals, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation and review of financial and management reports.
• Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations and support timely closure of open items.
• Work on key finance processes including P2P, O2C and Treasury.
• Support review of operating expenses, provisions, liabilities and working capital.
• Assist in internal controls testing and identification of process/control gaps.
• Support business and financial variance analysis and preparation of management reports.
• Assist with GST/TDS and other statutory reconciliations as required.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business performance and financial impact.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and reporting efficiency.
• Build and maintain dashboards, trackers and reports using Advanced Excel / Power Query / Power BI.

Who Are We Looking For?

• CA Intermediate cleared.
• Eligible for CA Industrial Training as per applicable ICAI requirements.
• Candidates with at least 1 year of Articleship experience completed.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
• Exposure to Power BI, Power Query or financial modelling will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
