Job summary

Kavi India in Chennai is seeking a motivated Backend Developer Intern to join our engineering team. You will help build server-side logic, design schemas, and develop robust APIs while learning production backend architecture from senior engineers.

You will collaborate with frontend developers, write modular code, and gain hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, databases, and version control.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of at least one backend technology (Node.js/Express, Python/Django/FastAPI, Java/Spring, or Go).
• Understanding database systems, such as SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Basic understanding of RESTful API principles and data structures.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub/GitLab for version control.
• Solid problem‑solving skills and Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Debugging & Testing: Identify system bottlenecks, resolve backend bugs, and write basic unit tests.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work with frontend developers to integrate APIs smoothly and maintain clear technical documentation.

Requirements
