Qualifications

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.

Participate in the design, development, and testing of new features.

Collaborate with senior developers on system architecture and code reviews.

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within existing backend systems.

Learn and apply software development best practices.

Requirements

Strong programming skills in Python.

Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Data Structures, and basic Algorithms.

Basic grasp of backend development concepts including HTTP, REST APIs, and client-server architecture.

Experience building REST APIs with FastAPI; academic or personal projects are acceptable.

Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).

Familiarity with ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy), database migrations (e.g., Alembic), and CRUD operations.

Understanding of JSON, API integration, and authentication (JWT/OAuth).

Familiarity with Git and GitHub.

Demonstrated debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

Knowledge of asynchronous programming (async/await).

Basic knowledge of Docker.

Familiarity with Redis and caching concepts.

Understanding of clean code, software development best practices, and version control workflows.

Personal or academic backend projects demonstrating Python/FastAPI development.
