Job summary

EY in Hyderabad is seeking an Executive in Statutory Audit to join its Assurance practice. The role involves conducting audits across financial, operational and process domains, with emphasis on identifying issues and documenting evidence for management reviews.

You will perform substantive testing, help prepare statutory books and assist senior staff in reviewing financial statements, while developing strong knowledge of auditing standards and client collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Audit executives are to carry out operational, financial, process and systems audits to review and appraise activities, systems and controls.
• Identify accounting and auditing issues and discuss solutions with the audit in-charge.
• Carry out substantive testing as per the audit plan and document all work performed.
• Identify improvements to control systems and procedures and report them clearly.
• Present audit reports with key recommendations to management.
• Prepare and maintain statutory books, audit trails, and reconciliation of accounts receivable and payable; assist in finalization of accounts.
• Assist seniors in reviewing and checking financial statements and their preparation.

Your key responsibilities

• Audit Executives are required to carry out operational, financial, process and Systems
  audi t s designed to review and appraise its activities, systems and controls,which includes:
• I den t ifying accounting & auditing issues; discuss with audit in-charge to solve issues that

arise,

• T o carry out substantive testing of appliances in accordance with the audit plan

f ormulated & appropriately document all work performed,

• Presenting audit reports clearly highlighting key audit recommendations to management ,

• Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibility.
