Job summary

Lumina Services Suite is hiring an Interior Designer cum Sales role in Chennai for a full-time, on-site position. You will design interior spaces for commercial and residential clients, coordinate with architects and vendors, and also handle lead follow-up, meetings, quotations, and contract negotiations to convert consultations into confirmed projects.

Experience ranges from 1 to 4 years. Budget is based on current CTC.

Qualifications

• Experience in interior design with space planning and coordination.

Responsibilities

The Interior Designer cum Sales role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. In this role, the individual will design functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for commercial and residential clients, including space planning, material selection, and preparation of design concepts and layouts. The role involves collaborating with clients to understand requirements, presenting design proposals, coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors, and overseeing project execution to ensure alignment with approved designs. The individual will also manage sales-related activities such as lead follow-up, client meetings, preparing quotations, and negotiating contracts to convert design consultations into confirmed projects. Regular tasks include maintaining project documentation, staying updated on interior design trends, and contributing to a professional, client-focused experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Interior Design and selection and coordination.
• Strong skills in Space Planning, ensuring efficient, safe, and visually appealing layouts.
• Knowledge of Architecture principles relevant to interior projects and integration with building structures.
• Ability to prepare and interpret Construction Drawings and detailed design documentation.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic MS Office tools.
• Proven sales acumen, including client relationship management, negotiation, and closing deals.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior on-site project experience in Chennai or similar markets is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams, with strong time management and attention to detail.
