Job summary

Dar is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to lead BIM-driven interior design tasks in Pune. The role encompasses programming, space planning analysis, concept through detailed design, and coordination with engineering and vendor teams.

Ideal candidates have a professional degree in Interior Architecture/Interior Design, 8–20 years of BIM experience, and strong skills in Revit, materials selection, and sustainable design principles. LEED knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

Position Title: Interior Designer

Position Summary:

Performs specific assignments, exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, adaptation, modification and application of interior design principles and applications, under general direction including programming and space planning analysis, concept design, schematic design, detailed design, engineering systems coordination, cost analysis, code research, tender documents, specifications and materials research, document checking, including preparation of presentation materials.

Essential Job Functions

DESIGN

• Prepares design plans, elevations and details, reflected ceiling plans, power and communication plans, millwork design, furniture layouts, finish plans, color plans and schedules using BIM (Revit) platform.
• Demonstrates understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts.
• Manipulates basic design elements such as proportion, color, light, texture & scale.
• Provides color/finish/material research and selection.
• Prepares presentation materials and renderings for client presentations.
• Adheres to firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability.

TECHNICAL

• Provides programming or space planning analysis with area calculations.
• Prepares construction documents, including design plans, elevations and details, furniture layouts, ergonomic dimensions, finish plans, color plans, finish schedules and ceiling plans.
• Participates in site analysis, including survey of existing conditions and site measurements.
• Research manufacturers for furniture system and finish materials, including specification & budget cost for selections.
• Performs tasks according to the company Project Procedures Manual.

MANAGEMENT

• Organizes and plans accordingly to execute tasks.
• Checks own work for accuracy, omissions and legibility.
• Maintain and organize project files, schedules, and workflows.
• May coordinate with engineers, consultants and vendors assignments.
• May work on single project or multiple projects simultaneously.
• Learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION -

Professional Degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or related discipline

EXPERIENCE

• 8-20 years with focus on BIM projects.
• Experience in application of interior design principles and theory
• Fundamental experience in programming, planning principles, materials and furnishings.
• Effective BIM, 3D computer modeling and graphic design
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Collaborative and professional work ethic
• Knowledge of international materials, construction techniques, and building codes is a plus.
• LEED accreditation is a plus.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit for design authoring, documentation, and
• Knowledge of collaboration within BIM, including cloud-based markups,
• MEP/consultant coordination, and clash detection.
• Familiarity with real-time rendering, material creation, and management in
• BIM and parametric workflows is a plus
• Familiarity with real-time visualization development within the context of BIM,
