You will handle space planning, conceptual design, finishes/materials selection, and FF&E coordination to meet budgets and timelines, while preparing construction drawings and documentation for execution and approvals.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Bengaluru. The Interior Designer will plan and design functional, aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for residential and commercial projects, aligned with client requirements and Square Yards’ brand standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, conceptual design, selecting finishes and materials, and coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) to meet project budgets and timelines. The role also involves preparing construction drawings and documentation, collaborating with architects, contractors, and vendors, and overseeing site execution to ensure design intent is maintained. The Interior Designer will participate in client meetings, present design proposals, incorporate feedback, and support cross-functional teams within Square Yards’ broader home furnishing and interior solutions offerings.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Interior Design and Space Planning to create functional, safe, and visually appealing layouts.
• Understanding of Architecture principles to integrate interior concepts with overall building design.
• Ability to develop accurate Construction Drawings and technical documentation for execution and approvals.
• Experience with FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, finishes, and equipment sourcing and specification.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools).
• Strong client communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of local building codes, materials, and construction practices in Bengaluru is an advantage.
• Prior experience in residential or commercial interior projects, preferably within a proptech or real estate environment, is beneficial.
