Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care, including routine and emergency coverage, in the critical care unit.
• Perform critical care procedures such as central line insertion, IV channelization, and intubation, and operate ventilators.
• Ensure adherence to clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols.
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients, including responding to changes in their condition and reporting to the consultant.
• Participate in daily rounds independently or with consultants and implement care plan changes.
• Prepare accurate treatment sheets, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist in assessment of new ICU admissions and manage pain relief protocols where required.
• Follow the department’s on-call and duty schedule.

• Monitor and manage critically ill patients, including responding promptly to changes in their condition and reporting complex health issues to the concerned consultant.


• Participate in daily rounds independently or alongside consultants, following up on patient care plans and implementing necessary changes.


• Prepare accurate and detailed treatment sheets, progress notes, and discharge summaries.


• Communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.


• Assist in the assessment of new admissions to the ICU and manage pain relief protocols where required.


• Follow the department’s on-call and duty schedule as assigned.
