Job summary

SmartStream seeks a seasoned professional to design, install, configure, and train on IntelliMatch-based reconciliation solutions across client projects. You will lead end-to-end implementation, coordinating with users and project teams to deliver bespoke solutions and ensure successful outcomes.

The role requires strong English communication, ability to work across multiple projects, and willingness to travel to client sites as needed, with flexible scheduling to meet client time zones.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience or working knowledge of IntelliMatch or equivalent reconciliation platforms.
• Understanding of end-to-end reconciliation processes including transaction matching, exception handling, aging, and reporting.
• Experience in configuring matching rules, thresholds, tolerances, workflows, and user roles within reconciliation systems.
• Ability to analyze breaks and mismatches, identify root causes, and propose resolution strategies.
• Experience working with large volumes of financial data feeds and integrating data from multiple source systems.
• Detailed knowledge of Transformer Tool and setting up mappings, updating mapping in the Transformer Tool.
• Knowledge of OS such as UNIX, LINUX, Windows.
• Understanding of SmartStream products and/or 3rd party tools like Kubernetes, Camel, Kafka, Openshift, Docker.
• Knowledgeable of RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server.
• Knowledgeable of financial messaging.
• Analytical skills to diagnose and solve business and technical problems.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Understanding of software implementation processes.
• Ability to manage changing priorities across multiple projects.
• Attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work with SmartStreams latest products, being responsible for the design, installation, configuration and training necessary to deliver client solutions. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of solutions across all client projects, simultaneously managing your time effectively to ensure the success of multiple projects. The role could involve a commitment to spend extended periods at the client sites as and when required.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for development and configuration of solutions, utilising the "Transformer Tool" to support, enhance and develop the platforms.
• Responsible for solution configuration, implementation, working with users, and project teams to design and implement custom/bespoke solutions.
• Responsible for troubleshooting environments, data controls and operational issues.
• Responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation to ensure knowledge accessibility.
• Responsible for implementing the requirements noted in Project and Solution Design Documents.
• Accountable for accurately tracking efforts in project tracking software.
• Accountable for reporting project status, customer concerns, and perceived risks on a timely basis.
• Responsible for informing the client and project manager of changes to scope and documenting with sufficient detail to allow for estimation and future implementation.
• Ability to lead client engagements, run meetings/workshops and be the primary contact for key clients.
• Flexible regarding travel and shift work to meet client time-zones.

Key Skills

• Knowledgeable of a RDBMS in particular of Oracle, SQL Server.
• Knowledgeable of financial messaging.
• Analytical skills to analyse data, complete research, diagnose and solve business and technical problems.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complicated business concepts (in English).
• Competent knowledge of the process to be followed for a software implementation.
• Ability to work effectively with changing priorities and with multiple projects.
• Ability to be precise and attentive to detail.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work on client sites and travel as necessary.
• Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in working in the Financial Services industry.
• Prior experience in cash, securities, trade, payment, or position reconciliation.
• Knowledge of financial instruments and transaction life cycles relevant to reconciliation solutions.
• Familiarity with data transformations, enrichment, and validation processes used in reconciliation platforms.
• Experience in enhancements or customization within reconciliation tools using SQL, scripting, or Java (where applicable).
• Previous experience in workflow/business process management.
• Advanced knowledge of Financial Institutions business requirements and business practices.
• Ability to assist with functional requirements and convert those requirements into a technical design using the SmartStream product set.
• Java Programming ability for use in producing custom controls.
• Must be able to always project a confident and professional image when dealing with customers and manage their expectations.
• Good level of presentation skills that displays both confidence and professionalism to the customer.
• Experienced Project Management skill set; experience in contribution in complex and critical projects on time and on budget. Management of cross-cultural teams and ability to work with on-site/off site teams would be an advantage.
