IP Analyst Manager – Deputy Manager, Talent Acquisition at Jio

Title: IP Analyst Manager

Job Purpose: To provide accurate evaluation of patent data and capture the essence succinctly. Provide support in various IP activities.

Job Accountabilities

• Data mining from patent and non-patent literature for patent analytics and drawing inference.
• Able to use AI based IP tools.
• Evaluate inventions and provide patentability opinions.
• Suggest design around for non‑patentable inventions.
• Analyze patents for presenting technological landscape reports.
• Patent draft review and claim scoping.
• Review response to patent examination report and provide inputs.
• Evaluate external publications from the perspective of IP compliance.
• Provide support for claim overlap analysis and standard mapping.
• Generate content for IP awareness and support conducting training sessions; compile the data required for IP audit.

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

• Well versed with key concepts of 6G/5G/4G Telecommunication, Wireless Technologies, Chipsets, TCP/IP Layers, Cloud, Devices, Media delivery.
• Knowledge about Intellectual property laws of India, US & EPO preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of MS Office and advanced functions such as Excel macros, formulae, search tools, and AI IP tools.

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)

• At least bachelor’s degree in engineering (ECE/CS) or master’s degree in science in Electronics and Communication (ECE) or Computer Science (CS)/Information Technology.
• Patent agent/diploma in IP/LLB (IP Hons.) (IIT KGP) preferred.
• At least 3 years in related area of Technology and IP.
