Job description

Job Description

This role is an opportunity to be a part of Intel’s Corporate Quality Network (CQN) organization. You will support Client products (primarily laptop and desktop CPU segment) as a Product Quality and Reliability Engineer. Your primary responsibilities are modeling support for the prediction of reliability on leading-edge client microprocessor products and managing the data collection and risk assessments of CPU Quality and Reliability throughout the Product Life Cycle (PLC).

Responsibilities:

  1. Providing reliability risk assessments for a variety of product scenarios, including, but not limited to, use conditions, new product features, performance enhancements, etc.
  2. Coordinate and collaborate with test engineering, design, product qualification and process technology teams to identify and solve reliability roadblocks to qualification milestones.
  3. Providing failure estimates for meeting microprocessor product qualification certification milestones using a state-of-the art reliability simulator.
  4. Definition of Quality and Reliability Validation (QRV) data collection plans for product qualification.
  5. Execution of QRV data collection including debug of failures.
  6. Translating QRV results to customer risk and incorporating them into reliability models.
  7. Provide the voice of quality to project management teams, ensuring all Product Life Cycle criteria are met.
  8. Enable Product Release Qualification (PRQ) with QRV data collection and partnering with other groups including Validation, Fab/Assembly, Test, and Design.
  9. Post PRQ issue management, ensuring quality goals are met on a consistent basis and customer visible issues are resolved.
  10. Optimize test flows to reduce cost while maintaining quality goals.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Physics or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Quality and Reliability, Fab Yield, Assembly, Validation, Product Design, or Test engineering.
  2. Data Analysis 1+ yr experience.
  3. Experience in semiconductor devices, circuit design, and/or computer architecture.
  4. Experience in technical and analytical problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering/Physics or a related field.
  2. Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, packaging, and device physics.
  3. Experience in process Certification and reliability risk assessment.
  4. Experience in Etest, Sort, and Class data extraction and analysis.
  5. Use of statistical packages such as JMP or Minitab.
  6. Experience with presenting complex messages to technical teams.
  7. Previous experience in quality and reliability and/or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
