Job summary

Trane Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking an Integration Engineer to enable reliable, secure, and scalable data integrations across our global technology ecosystem. You will design and build APIs, messaging, and event-driven integrations that connect cloud platforms, SaaS, and on‑prem systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in application integration, middleware development, API management, or enterprise system integration.
  • Hands-on experience with integration platforms including Google Apigee, GCP Pub/Sub, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle SOA Suite/Fusion Middleware, AWS API Gateway, or similar technologies.

  • Design, build, enhance, and support enterprise integrations across cloud, SaaS, and on-premises platforms using API-led and event-driven architectures.
  • Develop and maintain integrations utilizing Google Apigee, GCP Pub/Sub, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle SOA Suite/Fusion Middleware, and AWS API Gateway.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, application teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement effective integration solutions.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs, messaging solutions, and asynchronous event-driven integrations following enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Support end-to-end integration lifecycle activities including development, testing, and deployment.

Trane Technologies is seeking an Integration Engineer who will play a critical role in enabling reliable, secure, and scalable data integrations across our global technology ecosystem. This position sits at the center of enterprise connectivity, ensuring seamless data exchange between cloud platforms, enterprise applications, APIs, middleware solutions, and business-critical systems.

As an Integration Engineer, you will work with modern integration technologies and event-driven architectures to build and support resilient cross-platform data flows that enable business growth and digital transformation. You will collaborate with architects, application teams, infrastructure teams, and business partners to deliver integration solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

What You Will Do
  • Design, build, enhance, and support enterprise integrations across cloud, SaaS, and on-premises platforms using API-led and event-driven architectures.
  • Develop and maintain integrations utilizing Google Apigee, GCP Pub/Sub, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle SOA Suite/Fusion Middleware, and AWS API Gateway.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, application teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement effective integration solutions.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs, messaging solutions, and asynchronous event-driven integrations following enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Support end-to-end integration lifecycle activities including development, testing, and deployment.
  • Implement and maintain API security controls, authentication mechanisms, and governance standards across integration platforms.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, integration mappings, operational procedures, and support artifacts.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform stability, observability, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to reusable integration frameworks, templates, and best practices that improve delivery consistency and reduce development effort.
  • Partner with DevOps and support teams to automate deployment, monitoring, and operational processes.
  • Evaluate emerging integration technologies and platform capabilities that can improve scalability, reliability, and business value.
What You Will Bring

Successful candidates will bring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience in enterprise integration technologies, along with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in application integration, middleware development, API management, or enterprise system integration.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more integration platforms including Google Apigee, GCP Pub/Sub, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle SOA Suite/Fusion Middleware, AWS API Gateway, or similar technologies.
  • Experience developing and supporting RESTful APIs, web services, and event-driven integrations.
  • Knowledge of messaging and event streaming technologies, including GCP Pub/Sub or comparable platforms.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, middleware concepts, API lifecycle management, and system interoperability.
  • Experience integrating cloud-based and on-premises applications in complex enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with API security protocols and standards such as OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, and secure API design principles.
  • Experience with XML, JSON, XSLT, SOAP, REST, and related integration technologies.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices, source control systems such as GitHub, and automated deployment methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex integration issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools to support integration reliability and operational excellence.
