Job summary

Virtusa in Hyderabad is seeking an Integration Support Engineer to manage MuleSoft API operations, monitor health and performance, respond to alerts, and coordinate incident resolution. The role covers deployment support, environment management, security monitoring, and collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.

The incumbent will perform root cause analyses, document resolutions, maintain runbooks, and ensure smooth API connectivity for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with API operations and monitoring is required.
• Familiarity with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and API health monitoring.
• Incident and problem management experience.

Responsibilities

• API (Mulesoft) API Operations & Monitoring.
• Monitor API health, availability, and performance using Anypoint Monitoring and dashboards.
• Respond to API alerts and incidents, ensuring timely resolution within SLA.
• Monitor API traffic, response times, error rates, and throughput.
• Identify and elevate recurring issues or performance bottlenecks.
• Incident & Problem Management.
• Investigate API failures, connectivity issues, and integration errors.
• Perform initial troubleshooting using logs and monitoring tools.
• Coordinate with application development, infrastructure, and business teams to restore services.
• Conduct root cause analysis and document resolutions.
• Maintain incident records in ServiceNow or other ITSM tools.
• API Deployment & Release Support.
• Support deployment of Mule applications to CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, or on-premises environments.
• Validate deployments and perform post-deployment smoke testing.
• Participate in change management activities and maintenance windows.
• Roll back deployments when necessary following approved procedures.
• Environment & Platform Support.
• Monitor Mule runtimes and worker health.
• Restart applications or runtimes as needed.
• Manage environment configurations under established governance.
• Coordinate platform maintenance with infrastructure teams.
• API Security & Access Management.
• Assist with API client onboarding.
• Manage API access policies under defined procedures.
• Support certificate renewals and credential updates.
• Monitor authentication failures and security events.
• Ensure adherence to organizational security policies.
• Operational Documentation.
• Maintain runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Update knowledge articles after incidents.
• Document configuration changes and operational processes.
• Business & Partner Support.
• Support internal consumers and external partners using APIs.
• Validate API connectivity during onboarding.
• Troubleshoot integration issues with partner organizations.
• Communicate planned outages and maintenance activities
