Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled MuleSoft Integration Engineer to design and implement API-led connectivity across Experience, Process, and System layers. You will author RAML/OAS specs, publish them to Anypoint Exchange, and deploy on CloudHub 2.0 with secure connectivity to on-premises and cloud systems.

Job description

Design and develop API-led connectivity solutions across Experience, Process, and System layers using MuleSoft
Author RAML/OAS specifications in Anypoint Design Center and publish them to Anypoint Exchange
Build, deploy, and manage integration applications on CloudHub 2.0
Configure CloudHub VPCs, shared load balancers, static IPs, and private/public endpoints
Deploy and manage applications in Anypoint Private Space with secure connectivity to on-premises or VPC-peered systems
Support Runtime Fabric, self-managed Kubernetes/VM, and hybrid on-premises/cloud deployments
Develop DataWeave 2.0 transformations across JSON, XML, CSV, and EDI payloads
Build file-based data onboarding pipelines with parsing, validation, transformation, enrichment, retries, and replay
Develop data validation frameworks with configurable rules, audit logging, and exception reporting
Integrate systems through Database, HTTP/HTTPS, SFTP, File, and SQS connectors
Design resilient messaging and event-driven integrations using Amazon SQS, Anypoint MQ, Kafka, or JMS
Build inbound and outbound X12 EDI integrations and acknowledgments under HIPAA standards
Collaborate with product, QA, and data teams on data contracts, mappings, and integration designs
Monitor, debug, and optimize integrations and pipelines using logs, dashboards, and performance metrics
Build reusable libraries, connectors, templates, and documentation
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, artifact versioning, environment promotion, and rollback
Manage the API lifecycle using Anypoint Exchange, API Manager, and Runtime Manager
Enforce API policies including rate limiting, throttling, OAuth 2.0/JWT, client-ID enforcement, and IP allowlisting
Design RESTful APIs using REST principles and versioning strategies
Apply MuleSoft best practices for layering, DataWeave modules, error handling, modularization, and performance tuning
Participate in on-call rotations and production incident response, including root-cause analysis and post-incident documentation

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Mule 4.x runtime, and CloudHub 2.0
Solid experience designing and consuming REST APIs, including resource modeling, HTTP semantics, pagination, versioning, OAuth 2.0, API keys, and JWT
Strong grasp of MuleSoft API-led connectivity, modular flows, centralized error handling, connection pooling, caching, batching, streaming, and non-blocking I/O
Experience designing APIs with RAML or OAS, specification versioning, mocking services, and Anypoint Exchange
Experience administering API Manager and Runtime Manager
Experience operating Anypoint Private Space, including VPC peering/connectivity and private DNS/firewall configuration
Proficiency in DataWeave 2.0
Experience with MuleSoft connectors including Database, HTTP, SFTP, File, and SQS
Experience with message queues/event streaming such as Amazon SQS, Anypoint MQ, Kafka, or JMS/ActiveMQ
Understanding of pub/sub, competing consumers, message ordering/deduplication, idempotency, and DLQ handling
Experience troubleshooting message backlogs, throughput bottlenecks, and consumer scaling
Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript
Experience building scalable data ingestion, validation, and transformation pipelines
Strong SQL skills across relational databases
Experience with ETL/ELT workflows and multi-stage pipeline orchestration
Ability to handle CSV, TXT, PSV, and other delimited/structured formats
Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, static analysis, deployment gates, and secure credential management
Familiarity with Maven project structures, POM/BOM management, dependency/version management, and multi-module builds
Working knowledge of Git branching/release strategies
Hands-on experience with Jira and Bitbucket
Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Knowledge of data validation frameworks, audits, reconciliation, and job schedulers
Hands-on experience with HIPAA-mandated X12 EDI transaction sets and EDI translators/mappers
Understanding of EDI envelope parsing, validation, acknowledgments, reconciliation, and HIPAA Privacy/Security Rule requirements
Experience with encryption, masking/tokenization, and role-based access control for PHI/PII
Working experience with AI/LLM models via API-based integrations
Ability to generate, parse, and format Markdown
Strong proficiency in Python
Experience reviewing, validating, refactoring, and integrating AI-generated code
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; accepted examples include B.Tech/B.E., B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. IT, or MCA
3-5 years of relevant experience in integration and backend/data engineering
Proven experience delivering end-to-end production integration or data onboarding solutions
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira and Bitbucket
