Job summary

Thoucentric is a Bangalore-based consulting firm seeking a data engineer to lead ETL, data warehousing, and analytics initiatives. You will design crawlers, build warehouse models, and optimize SQL workflows while collaborating with architects to meet client requirements.

The role emphasizes hands-on data processing, customer interaction, and delivery of end-to-end data solutions across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ETL expertise with data loading and processing.
• Proficient in SQL Server/MySQL; SQL/MDX/T-SQL with DDL/DML and procedures.
• Experience building data pipelines and data warehouses.
• Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Python; familiar with JSON/XML and APIs.
• Knowledge of SAP and supply chain fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Build data crawlers to extract data from customers' sources using ETL platforms.
• Design and build data warehouse models in columnar databases.
• Develop data processing scripts using SQL and optimize SQL sequences.
• Design, build, and deploy SSIS packages to transform data for analytics.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to understand requirements and implement them.
• Analyze data for complex use cases using SQL.
• Own the development and implementation workflow.
• Participate in data design, requirements gathering, and best-practices recommendations.
• Design and automate data loading and insights generation with checks; create test plans and track issues.

• Builddata crawlers to extract data from customers' data sources using availableETL platforms, and troubleshoot the issues faced during data loading &processing
  
• Designand build data warehouse models in columnar databases
• Developdata processing scripts using SQL and be able to optimize complexsequences of SQL Queries
• Design,build and deploy effective SSIS packages to validate, synthesize,transform customer data for integrated business planning and analytics
• Workwith Solution Architects to understand customers' business requirementsand implementthem
• Performdata analysis for complex use cases using SQL document technicalspecification for
• thecognitive applications that we are creating for the customers
• Ownthe entire development and implementation workflow
• Participatein the technical design, data requirements gathering and makingrecommendations on best practices, in case of inaccurate or missing data
• Designand automate the data loading and insights generation process withintelligent checks and balances for sustained value delivery. Create andexecute test plans, document issues and track progress at resolvingissues.
  

Requirements

Mandatory Skills:

O9 is Mandatory

• Verystrong hands-on experience working in ETL (Extract/Transform/Load)processes
• Proficiencyin databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and skills in one or more languages likeSQL, MDX, T-SQL with knowledge of DDL, DML, stored procedures, triggersand performance tuning is a MUST
• Familiaritywith workflows in programming concepts
• Experienceworking directly with customers and presenting your ideas
