About The Job

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in Insurance (Life, Health, or General) and proven expertise in Agile delivery frameworks.
• The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly understood, documented, and implemented effectively to ensure successful delivery of projects related to risk financing, claims management, and compliance.

Essential Job Functions

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into functional requirements
• Analyze existing self-insurance processes and identify opportunities for optimization
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, process flows, user stories, and use cases
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions align with business needs

Domain Expertise

• Provide subject matter expertise in insurance operations, including risk management, claims handling, and regulatory compliance
• Advise on best practices for self-insurance programs, captive insurance structures, and internal risk financing

Agile Delivery

• Work within Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) to deliver iterative solutions
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Ensure user stories are well-defined with clear acceptance criteria

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of coordination between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for end-users

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze claims data, loss trends, and risk exposure
• Develop dashboards and reports for senior management

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years as a Business Analyst, with at least 5 years in the insurance domain
• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of self-insurance, captive insurance, risk management, frameworks, and regulatory requirements
• Agile Experience: Hands‑on experience in Agile methodologies
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with insurance systems, SQL, Power BI, workflow automation
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving abilities
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with claims administration systems
• Knowledge of actuarial concepts and loss reserving
• Exposure to compliance standards (SOX, IFRS, GAAP)
• Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMI‑ACP)
