Job summary

Lektus Infrastructure in Pune, India, seeks an instrumentation engineer to lead design engineering for ICS projects, including bid support, SAT/FAT oversight, and procurement assistance.

You will design, select control and instrument systems, ensure cyber security, review SLDs, IO lists, and data sheets, and coordinate with clients and design teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participate in in-depth design engineering, bid-related tasks, SAT/FAT oversight, and procurement support.
• Generate specifications; prepare IFP, IFR, RFQ, IFC, and related documents.
• Design and select control, instrument systems, complete electrical networks, and cybersecurity for ICS.
• Review engineering deliverables: SLDs, wiring diagrams, load lists, IO lists, data sheets, sub-vendor packages, isometrics, layouts, and cable routing.
• Attend project kick-offs, design reviews, and client meetings.
• Handle cost estimation, evaluate supplier proposals, and review supplier documentation.
• Improve designs to increase value while ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
• Identify uncertainties or deviations in contracts and address compliance concerns.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Participating in in-depth design engineering, handling bid-related tasks, overseeing Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and supporting procurement activities.
• Engaged in tasks such as generating specications, preparing Inquiry for Proposal (IFP), Inquiry for Review (IFR), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Issued for Construction (IFC), and more.
• Responsible for the designing, selection of the control system, instrument system, complete electrical network, and cybersecurity for Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
• Overseeing the assessment and approval of engineering deliverables including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), wiring schematics, load lists, electrical component selection/sizing, control system architecture, Input/Output (IO) Lists, logic diagrams, instrument data sheets, sub-vendor packages, isometric drawings, layouts, cable routing, cable sizing, schedule, Junction Box (JB) schedule, control schematics, and more.
• Participating in project kick-off meetings, design reviews, and direct client interactions.
• Handling cost estimation, offering procurement support, evaluating technical proposals from suppliers, and reviewing supplier documents.
• Enhancing and optimizing the design to provide increased value.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant local and international standards and codes during contract and tender review.
• Identifying areas of uncertainty and deviations in contracts and addressing compliance concerns.

Preferred candidate profile

• In-depth knowledge of Instrumentation Engineering principles and International Design Codes
• Understanding the relevant Digital/BIM standards (ISO19650 or previously PAS1192) is desired
• Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices
• Basic knowledge of Water and Wastewater Area / Domain is preferred
• Collaborative Skills with Clients, Stakeholders, Project Management and Design Teams.
• Good Spoken English and written English is essential.
