Job summary

SolarWinds is seeking an Instructional Designer in Bengaluru to design and develop engaging learning content for onboarding, product launches, and field development. The role requires 3–5 years of instructional design experience, experience with eLearning, ILT, and blended programs, and proficiency with tools like Articulate 360, Rise, Camtasia, and Vyond.

About the Role

SolarWinds is hiring an Instructional Designer to join the Revenue Enablement team. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Enablement and based in Bangalore, India, this individual contributor role is responsible for designing and developing engaging learning content that supports onboarding, product launches, sales plays, certifications, and ongoing field development.

You’ll partner closely with Revenue Enablement, Product Marketing, Product Management, Solutions Engineering, and subject matter experts to transform complex information into practical, engaging learning experiences that help the field perform at their best.

What You’ll Do

• Learning Design & Content Development
  • Design and develop eLearning, instructor-led training, videos, certifications, job aids, and other digital learning experiences.
  • Create engaging role plays, scenario-based learning, knowledge checks, and AI-driven simulations that improve learner confidence and retention.
  • Design and maintain certification programs and learning paths for Sales, Renewals, and Solutions Engineering.Translate complex technical and business concepts into clear, practical, field-ready learning content.
  • Ensure learning content remains current as products, messaging, and go-to-market priorities evolve.
• Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner with Revenue Enablement, Product Marketing, Product Management, Solutions Engineering, and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and build impactful training.
  • Collaborate with enablement managers to support product launches, strategic initiatives, and ongoing field readiness.
  • Help standardize learning experiences and maintain consistency across global enablement programs.
• AI-Enabled Learning
  • Use AI tools to accelerate content development, improve learner engagement, and personalize learning experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline content creation and improve the efficiency of learning development processes.
  • Stay current on emerging AI capabilities and recommend new approaches that improve learning outcomes.
• Learning Operations
  • Maintain learning content within the LMS and ensure courses, certifications, and learning paths remain accurate and accessible.
  • Partner with the reporting function to measure learner engagement, certification completion, and program effectiveness, using insights to continuously improve learning experiences.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of instructional design experience supporting corporate learning, sales enablement, or revenue enablement.
• Experience developing eLearning, instructor-led training, certifications, and blended learning programs.
• Experience using authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Camtasia, Vyond, or similar platforms.
• Strong visual design, writing, and storytelling skills.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop learning content.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms to improve content development and productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Sales, Renewals, or Solutions Engineering organizations within a B2B SaaS company.
• Experience designing certification programs and sales or technical enablement content.
• Familiarity with learning platforms such as Docebo, Highspot, or similar technologies.
• Portfolio showcasing modern digital learning experiences and instructional design work.
