Responsibilities

As part of the team who are responsible to drive the Octave culture where learning is embedded into daily work, where curiosity is celebrated, and where growth is shared. This role is to work with the wider Octave learning team to deliver with the Department’s leaders and the SME;s of the business, to plan, design the Learning and capability programs to execute the Octave overall business strategy.

• Learning instructional designer analyses learning needs and develops effective learning solutions, such as e-learning, workshops, courses modules, and training materials.
• You will apply Learning standards with instructional theories and the Octave framework and into weave business metrics, collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), and design evaluations to ensure the learning experiences are engaging and achieve positive outcomes.
• Key activities include learner analysis, content creation, instructional guides and integrating feedback to refine the products. Plus, Ad hoc project work to amplify Octave operational capability.

Education / Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in a closely related role/industry.
• Development of end-to-end solutions ensuring the successful delivery across a variety of mediums (ILT & digital).
• Work with a team of learning and development designers to implement key initiatives.
• Leveraging innovative learning design methodologies and techniques with a range of platforms.
• Instructional Strategy & Design: Choose and apply learning strategies to design effective and engaging learning experiences.
• Content Development: Create various learning materials and products, including e-learning modules, workshops, training manuals, video-based learning, and job support/performance support products.
• Collaboration: Work with SMEs to gather content, and potentially with multimedia designers and programmers to implement the learning solutions.
• Evaluation: Design and implement program evaluation strategies to assess the effectiveness of the learning products and gather feedback for improvements.
• Facilitator Training: Train facilitators on how to deliver face-to-face training sessions and other learning programs.
