Job summary

Kyndryl Inc. is seeking a seasoned Infrastructure Administrator in Hyderabad to design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud environments across Azure, Windows, Linux, and VMware. The role emphasizes automation, problem solving, and documentation to ensure reliable, scalable IT infrastructure.

You will work with Architects, Technicians, and PMs, balancing hands-on delivery with long-term planning. Strong knowledge of cloud and on-premises systems, plus certification-driven growth, is valued.

Qualifications

• Azure Administration: 5+ years in provisioning and managing Azure VMs, storage, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, and networking.
• Windows & Linux Administration: Manage Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and RHEL 7/8/9 including installation, config, upgrades, and security.
• VMware Administration: Administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, clusters, datastores/vSAN, and lifecycle management.
• Storage & File Services: Manage Windows file shares, NTFS permissions, and storage allocations.
• Patching & Upgrades: Patch Windows, Linux, Azure VM, and VMware with appropriate tools and validation.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Configure Azure Backup, ASR, VMware backup/DR and testing.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Use Azure Monitor, Log Analytics; diagnose infrastructure issues across components.
• Security, Automation & Operations: Support AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, IAM, SELinux, Ansible, PowerShell; handle incidents and changes.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

• Design and recommend end‑to‑end infrastructure solutions that balance technical feasibility, customer requirements, project timelines, risks, and operational priorities.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems to identify root causes and restore services effectively.
• Plan and integrate hybrid cloud and on‑premises environments, ensuring seamless connectivity, interoperability, reliability, and operational continuity across platforms.
• Automate infrastructure workflows and technical processes to improve efficiency, reliability, consistency, and repeatability while reducing manual errors.
• Proactively assess and mitigate technical and operational risks, implementing preventive measures to minimize service disruptions and improve infrastructure resilience.
• Lead and coordinate infrastructure project delivery by collaborating with Architects, Project Managers, Technicians, and other cross‑functional teams from initiation through completion.
• Communicate technical solutions clearly to customers and stakeholders, maintain architecture and operational documentation, and support effective knowledge transfer and hand‑offs.
• Continuously develop technical expertise across cloud, enterprise infrastructure, and emerging technologies through certifications, practical project experience, and progression toward senior technical or Architect‑level roles.

• Azure Administration: 5+ years in provision and manage Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, resource groups, disks, and networking, including VM resizing, migration, troubleshooting, and secure decommissioning.
• Windows & Linux Administration: Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and RHEL 7/8/9, including installation, configuration, upgrades, decommissioning, user/group management, system services, security, and performance issues.
• VMware Administration: Administer VMware vSphere 7/8, ESXi, vCenter, clusters, datastores/vSAN, resource pools, VMware Tools, HA, DRS, and vMotion, including VM provisioning, migration, cloning, and lifecycle management.
• Storage & File Services: Manage Windows file shares, NTFS/share permissions, ARS‑based access workflows, LVM, Multipath, NFS, Samba, file systems, and storage allocations, including troubleshooting access and capacity issues.
• Patching & Upgrades: Perform Windows, Linux, Azure VM, and VMware patching using tools such as Azure Update Manager and Red Hat Satellite, including pre‑checks, deployment, reboot coordination, post‑validation, repository synchronization, and troubleshooting failed updates.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Configure and support Azure Backup, Recovery Services Vault, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), VMware backup/DR, and Linux recovery procedures, including replication, test/planned failovers, failback, restores, retention, and backup‑health monitoring.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Diagnose CPU, memory, disk, network, boot, RDP/SSH, Event Viewer, systemd, datastore, replication, backup, and virtualization issues, while using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerts for infrastructure monitoring.
• Security, Automation & Operations: Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, Microsoft Entra ID, IAM, SELinux, Linux hardening, NSGs, SSH, Ansible, PowerShell and Shell scripting, while handling incidents, service requests/RITMs, changes, vulnerability remediation, capacity, and resource optimization.
