Job summary

NatWest Group in Bengaluru is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (Network Wireless) to design and operate enterprise wireless networks, implementing automation for testing and CI/CD readiness while ensuring security and observability across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will drive lifecycle management, collaborate on roadmaps, and deliver self‑service infrastructure and IaC solutions, while addressing production issues and enabling feature delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise wireless and network infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Cisco wireless technologies and Meraki administration.
• Knowledge of 802.11 standards and RF fundamentals, with optimization skills.
• Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting and infrastructure as code concepts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and manage technology lifecycle from new products through end of support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to inform product roadmaps and lifecycles.
• Support engineered products and respond to user feedback and production issues.

Infrastructure Engineer (Network Wireless Engineer)

Join us as an Infrastructure Engineer You’ll engineer infrastructure technology for public and private cloud environments, complying with security, resilience, sustainability, and operational requirements with observability and guardrails built in You’ll also use automation to provide testing and a route to live for the product, working with customers to help them use our products appropriately through a users’ CI or CD pipeline This is a chance to work with colleagues across the bank to share engineering best practices, allowing you to expand your network and gain exposure for you and your work We're offering this role at associate level

What you’ll do

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll contribute to and manage the selection, creation and maintenance of technologies required to meet the needs of our customers, strategic targets and architecture outcomes, along with developing products using modern engineering practices and tools. We’ll look to you to collaborate with stakeholders to inform product roadmaps, detailing lifecycles of the technology from new products through to end of support and retirement. You’ll also support engineered products and respond to user feedback, new feature requests and resolve production issues wanted by the Product Owner.

Additionally, you’ll:

• Develop technical skills through continuous learning and development
• Work within a team to design intuitive, self-service infrastructure products
• Contribute to the delivery of infrastructure as code solutions
• Work with users to help use our products and gain feedback
• Provide operational support for pattern or product related issues
• Generate innovative ideas and drive the delivery of those through product features

The skills you'll need

To thrive in this role, you’ll have experience in software development or automation scripting such as Python or Shell, with an understanding of the software development lifecycle. You’ll also have experience in utilizing modern infrastructure as code via tooling. We’ll expect you to bring a good understanding of Agile working practices and toolsets with the ability to relate everyday work to the vision of the feature team, platform and domain. Furthermore, you’ll need:

• Atleast six years of experience supporting enterprise wireless and network infrastructure environments
• Strong experience with Cisco Wireless technologies, including Catalyst 9800 Controllers and Access Points
• Experience with Cisco Meraki Wireless administration and troubleshooting
• Good understanding of WiFi standards including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax (WiFi 6/6E)
• Knowledge of RF fundamentals, channel planning, interference mitigation and wireless optimization
• Experience troubleshooting client connectivity, roaming, authentication and performance issues
• Good understanding of wireless security technologies including WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X and RADIUS
• Experience with Cisco ISE or other Network Access Control (NAC) solutions
• Knowledge of routing, switching and LAN infrastructure supporting wireless services
