Job summary

JP Morgan Chase in Bengaluru is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join the Employee Platforms Team. You will apply deep infrastructure expertise, drive AI-assisted delivery, and modernize FXO/PRI to SIP across enterprise voice networks.

You will design, configure, and operate Ribbon SBCs, PSX routing, and cloud observability, while ensuring security and auditability in complex environments. Strong problem-solving and hands-on automation are essential.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure engineering areas such as hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment practices, automation, or performance assessments.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support infrastructure workflows with strong validation habits.
• Ability to review AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, ensuring resiliency, security, and auditability.
• Lead PRI-to-SIP transformation and modernization of FXO/PRI to SIP across enterprise voice networks.
• Design, configure, and operate Ribbon SBCs (routing/policy, high availability, capacity planning)
• Build and maintain PSX routing logic (dial plans, translations, policy control)
• Deep SIP/VoIP expertise: call flows, TLS/SRTP, codec negotiation, interconnect testing
• Carrier engineering: SIP trunk onboarding, escalation handling, service testing
• Strong debugging skills (packet/call-trace analysis, RCA, incidents) and IaC for voice platforms (Git-based)
• AWS fundamentals and cloud observability (CloudWatch) and monitoring improvements

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Employee Platforms Team, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Job responsibilities

• Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope and executes creative solutions for design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
• Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies and works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and technology processes
• Strongly considers upstream and downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
• Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable/auditable and aligned to resiliency and security expectations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience or performance assessments
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
• Lead PRI-to-SIP transformation and modernization of FXO/PRI to SIP across enterprise voice networks
• Design, configure, and operate Ribbon SBCs (routing/policy, HA, upgrades, capacity planning, interop testing, production support)
• Build and maintain PSX routing logic (dial plans, number translations, policy control)
• Deep SIP/VoIP expertise: call flows, SDP, TLS/SRTP, codec negotiation, troubleshooting and interconnect testing
• Carrier engineering experience: SIP trunk onboarding/turn-ups, carrier coordination, escalation handling, service acceptance testing
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills (packet/call-trace analysis, RCA, incident response, performance/capacity issues) and Implement Configuration as Code for voice/network platforms (Git-based version control, templating, environment promotion, change review)
• AWS fundamentals (VPC/networking, IAM, security basics, cost awareness) and experience enabling SBC in cloud and AWS observability (CloudWatch logs/metrics, dashboards, alerting) and general monitoring/observability improvement (SLIs/SLOs, alert tuning, noise reduction)

• Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages
