Sarvam AI seeks a DevOps/SRE backend-focused engineer to run daily infrastructure operations across multiple clouds and Kubernetes clusters. You’ll handle deployments, access requests, incidents and cost questions, promoting automation to reduce repetitive work.
A candidate with 2–5 years in DevOps or SRE, comfortable with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes and scripting, and able to showcase a self-built project, will fit well and contribute to AI-powered infrastructure initiatives.
The role covers daily infrastructure operations for Sarvam's products, such as deployments, access requests, incidents and cost questions, across several clouds and Kubernetes clusters. A strong candidate has two to five years in DevOps, SRE or backend work, is comfortable with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes and a scripting language, and can show a project they built on their own. What matters most is the habit of spotting repeated manual work and building something that removes it.
AI changes this work by taking on routine tasks like sorting alerts, summarising incidents and reviewing small infrastructure changes, so engineers spend less time on repetitive chores. What stays human is judgment on risky changes, setting the limits agents work within, finding the real cause of an outage and deciding what is worth automating.
Someone in this role would help build AI agents that run parts of a real production setup serving Indian language AI products, including voice and coding tools. To prepare, build a small agent that triages alerts or answers infrastructure questions, add a human approval step for risky actions, and publish the code with a short write-up of what it saved.
