Job summary

Celestica is seeking an Infrastructure DevOps Specialist to design, build and manage enterprise cloud and hybrid platform infrastructure. You will write code, configure networks, and troubleshoot production workloads in a primarily Azure environment with AWS/GCP in a hybrid setup.

You will manage Linux/Windows OS, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters across cloud and on‑prem. Strong Python and automation skills are essential for CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of IT experience with hands-on Systems, Cloud, and DevOps engineering.
• Proficient hands-on coding in Python and Shell/PowerShell scripting.
• Deep practical experience with Linux/Windows administration, VMware/Hyper-V hypervisors, Terraform IaC, and Kubernetes/OpenShift container management.
• CCNA-level networking fundamentals for cloud networks (VNet/VPC, DNS, routing).
• Experience with Terraform IaC, Ansible, and multi-cloud orchestration.

Responsibilities

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled, Senior Specialist to design, build, and actively engineer our enterprise cloud and hybrid platform infrastructure. You will directly write code, engineer systems, configure virtual networks, and troubleshoot complexproduction workloads.Operating within a product-based environment, you will serve as the primary technical authority for ourinfrastructure, heavily leveraging Microsoft Azure as our primary cloud foundation alongside secondary multi-cloud setups (AWS/GCP). You will also directly manage underlying operating systems (Linux & Windows) andvirtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) across hybrid deployments.

Detailed Description

• Directly provision, configure, and maintain production workloads on Microsoft Azure (Primary), with working operational experience on AWS and GCP.
• Hands‑on administration of enterprise virtualization platforms, specifically VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper‑V, for hybrid cloud integrations and compute management.
• Write, test, and deploy modular Terraform scripts for Azure, multi‑cloud, and virtualized resource orchestration.
• Automate configuration management, VM patching, and state compliance using Ansible playbooks.

• Hands‑on systems engineering, performance tuning, and hardening across enterprise Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
• Diagnose and resolve OS‑level bottlenecks, kernel/system performance issues, disk/volume allocations, and active directory / identity integrations.
• Directly deploy, manage, and scale enterprise Kubernetes clusters across public cloud and on‑premise platforms: AKS (Azure), EKS (AWS), GKE (GCP), bare‑metal/virtualized on‑prem Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Implement ingress routing, service meshes, cluster security policies, CNI plugins, and monitoring setups.
• Develop operational tooling, continuous delivery scripts, and cloud automation using Python (Mandatory) and advanced Shell/Bash (plus PowerShell for Windows automation).
• Build, manage, and optimize enterprise build and release pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitLab CI/CD.

Networking & Security Fundamentals

• Apply solid CCNA‑level networking fundamentals to configure VNet/VPC peering, Subnetting (CIDR), DNS, routing, load balancing, and secure site‑to‑site VPN connectivity between cloud and VMware/Hyper‑V on‑premise environments.

Core Technology Stack
