Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking an infrastructure automation developer who combines strong infrastructure knowledge with a developer mindset to build automation, self‑service capabilities, and scalable infrastructure solutions. You will work with infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and platform teams to automate provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle activities.

The role emphasizes automation‑first thinking, reusable pipelines, REST APIs, GitOps, and security governance.

Qualifications

• Experience with Ansible, Python, and shell scripting for automation.
• Terraform or Terraform Enterprise experience for infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Azure and Kubernetes automation.
• REST APIs and API-driven infrastructure experience.
• GitOps practices and internal platform engineering capabilities.
• Infrastructure portals, service catalogs, or self-service platforms.
• Knowledge of security, policy-as-code, and governance.
• Experience testing infrastructure automation and automated quality gates.
• Strong communication, able to present technical concepts clearly.
• Understanding of DevSecOps and Agile/Scrum principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver infrastructure automation across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Build reusable automation using Ansible, Python, Shell and CI/CD pipelines.

The Role

We are looking for an Infrastructure Automation Developer who combines strong infrastructure knowledge with a developer mindset to build automation, self‑service capabilities, and scalable infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate is someone who thinks automation‑first: instead of manually operating infrastructure, you look for opportunities to automate, standardize, orchestrate, and expose infrastructure capabilities through self‑service. You will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and platform teams to develop automation solutions that improve speed, reliability, consistency, and operationalefficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver infrastructure automation across cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Build reusable automation using Ansible, Python, Shell, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, patching, and lifecycle activities.
• Develop self‑service infrastructure solutions through pipelines, APIs, portals, or service catalogs.
• Integrate automation with DevOps, ITSM, monitoring, and cloud platforms.
• Apply security, testing, logging, validation, and governance standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to create scalable automation standards and reusable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and continuously improve existing automation and pipelines.

• Understanding of DevSecOps, Agile, Scrum construct to identify inefficiencies through readiness assessments and development of strategies and approaches to optimize the implementation of IT or cloud resources and capabilities.
