Job summary

Good co India is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to design and lead secure, scalable enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will define roadmaps, standards, and reference architectures aligned with business needs, and drive modernization, cloud migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.

The role requires hands-on expertise across AWS/Azure/GCP, virtualization, networking, automation, and CI/CD practices, with a focus on security,

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems, virtualization, compute, storage, and networking.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Proficiency with configuration-management and automation tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Strong understanding of backup, DR, high availability, fault tolerance, and capacity planning.
• Hands-on monitoring/observability with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent.
• Experience leading cloud migrations and large-scale infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Define capacity, performance, availability, scalability, and DR requirements.
• Lead modernization, cloud migrations, data-center transformations, and refresh initiatives.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, automation, and CI/CD practices.
• Establish security controls including IAM, encryption, firewalls, vulnerability management.
• Design high-availability, fault-tolerant, backup, DR, and business continuity solutions.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, security, networking, database, cloud, and operations teams.
• Conduct assessments, architecture reviews, capacity planning, and technology evaluations.
• Identify and resolve complex infra, performance, availability, and scalability issues.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across infra environments.
• Evaluate emerging infra and cloud technologies and recommend solutions.
• Optimize costs, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain architecture docs and network diagrams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to infra, cloud, DevOps, and ops teams.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure architecture.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems, virtualization, compute, storage, and networking.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, Docker, and modern infrastructure technologies.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching, firewalls, proxies, and load balancers.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent technologies.
• Proficiency with configuration-management and automation tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Strong knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, high availability, fault tolerance, business continuity, and capacity planning.
• Experience designing infrastructure security solutions including IAM, Active Directory, network security, encryption, vulnerability management, and security controls.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, automation, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Experience leading cloud migrations, data-center transformation, infrastructure modernization, or large-scale technology projects.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to evaluate technologies, make architecture decisions, and balance performance, reliability, security, and cost.
• Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across infrastructure and operations teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, VMware, CCNP, ITIL, Kubernetes, or TOGAF are preferred.
