Job description

Basic knowledge of Lloyd’s and London market practices & US Insurance Market (optional).

  • A strong understanding of the (re) insurance industry. (Recommended)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. (Must have)
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team or on own initiative. (Must have)
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills. (Must have)
  • Hard working and willingness to go above and beyond to meet deadlines. (Must have)
  • Fluency in English is required. (Must have)
  • Processing and checking of data entry onto relevant Customer UW systems.
  • Monitor and chase queries, seeking advice where required.
  • Undertake training of new staff.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for streamlining underwriting data capture activities.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures and User Guides accurately reflect current procedures.
  • Assist with the testing and roll out of new IT initiatives, in support of the Customer IT Department.
  • Maintain all underwriting data and records and ensure high quality of entries into client’s systems in accordance with the service levels.
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Communication skills – both verbal and written.
