Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Translate the Company’s overall direction and objectives into a sales plan about development, in conjunction with the director of strategic sales, a comprehensive plan to address the international specifications and opportunities which includes negotiating ethically on price, terms, and conditions consistent with industrial business unit & national accounts values and strategies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service (including returns, broken tool processing) and create solutions to bring strategies into execution.
  • Manage accounts receivables by established company guidelines.
  • Prepare requisite reporting (call reports, trip reports, expense reports, customer call documentation) as required or directed by the manager.
  • Plan and forecast sales activities to include attendance at trade shows, new product introductions, in-country product demonstrations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records relating to sales performance, planning, account information, business expenditures, or as otherwise requested.
  • Develop and grow relationships with key customers/stakeholders, acting on new information and monitoring customer satisfaction, meeting the sales budget, and aligned program partner goals.
  • Proactively acquire new customers through outbound calling initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • At least 1 year of experience in US direct sales.
  • Proven experience in high-value project sales for capital equipment and services.
  • Effectively communicates, both written and orally, with customers when delivering sales presentations, product, and marketing information, and all account updates.
  • Uses in-depth knowledge of product application to assist customers in selecting a product for their business and to aid in market-need based product development initiatives.
  • Establishes, reviews, and reports market activity, market penetration, pricing, margins, selling approaches, and itineraries to product management.
  • Resolves issues by working with the customer, commercial sales, and/or product marketing.
  • Must be able to work effectively with diverse cultures.
