Job summary

Applied Materials India is seeking a data-driven strategist to join our Analytics team in Bengaluru. You will structure complex business problems, lead analyses across large data sets, and present actionable recommendations to executives while collaborating across functions to drive measurable improvements in operations and cost.

The role requires 7–10 years in semiconductor or consulting, plus strong skills in SQL, Excel, Tableau/Power BI, and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent. MBA or Masters in Engineering preferred.
• 7–10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry or consulting.
• Strong analytical skills — able to extract real insight from multiple data sources; expert-level knowledge of data analytics tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI; Python
• Proven experience working across cross-functional business teams
• Able to work effectively in a matrix environment and influence without authority
• Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented, able to connect the dots and communicate complex ideas effectively with executive presence
• Broad understanding and experience including service business management, product development, and financial reporting
• Working knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma (DMAIC, Kaizen); Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
