Indirect Taxation Manager

Job Requirements

Indirect Taxation & GST Management

1. Minimise tax liabilities legally through informed application of tax laws & regulations
2. Review tax calculations & estimates, ensure timely & accurate filing of GST returns
3. Network regularly with GST authorities & external consultants, manage & resolve escalations related to the same
4. Statutory audits & explanation regarding all disputes for effective understanding & closure.
5. Interaction with DGFT authorities for getting the relevant benefits for all divisions with proper understanding of the benefit to the company/division.
6. Understanding custom issues relating to customs clearance / interaction/disputes/adjudication with paramount understanding of business requirement.
7. Understanding of disputes / opportunities that exist for the company taking it forward with legal opinion from experts.
8. Appearances before all quasi / judicial authorities on behalf of the company.
9. Understanding of ISCM/Commercial expectations on transactions for effective structure to leverage maximum benefits out of the transaction.
10. Expected to be an expert with networking across industries Briefing of senior counsels.

Governance & Compliance

1. Support in the creation and implementation of effective governance, compliance and risk management frameworks
2. Ensure pro-active input into preventive actions to address key business risks
3. Champion the embedding of a compliance culture in Titan

Process Improvement

1. Introduce continuous process improvements related to GST, review implementation of the same
2. Keep current in the field of GST, constantly update the knowledge & understanding

People Management

1. Drive a performance driven culture in the team by reviewing performance parameters and providing feedback to the team
2. Contribute in talent development by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities
3. Ensure periodic follow-up with the recruitment team to fill the vacant positions within stipulated time
