Job summary

Insight Global in Mumbai is seeking a Cloud Engineer to help build and deploy a new AKS container platform as part of a rapid cloud modernization project. You will handle hands-on platform configuration, container deployments, troubleshooting and support during implementation, aiming for a PoC readiness within 8–10 weeks to validate the platform for broader adoption.

Qualifications

The Cloud Engineer role will support the build and deployment of a new Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) container platform as part of a fast-paced cloud modernization initiative. This resource will be responsible for hands-on platform configuration, container deployments, troubleshooting and implementation support. The ideal candidate has strong AKS and Kubernetes experience, thrives in a delivery-focused environment and can rapidly contribute to an 8-10 week proof-of-concept engagement designed to validate the platform for broader adoption.

Skills and Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Experience building, configuring and supporting Kubernetes-based container platforms in Azure
• Experience containerizing applications and deploying workloads into Kubernetes environments
• Strong Kubernetes administration skills, including cluster configuration, deployments, scaling and troubleshooting
• Experience working in cloud infrastructure environments within Microsoft Azure
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an onshore technical lead
• Experience supporting platform builds, proofs of concept or cloud modernization initiatives
• Strong scripting and automation experience (Terraform, Helm, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bash or similar)
• Exposure to Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO)
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform or Bicep
• Monitoring and observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor or similar tools
• Azure or Kubernetes certifications
