Job summary

KnowledgeWorks Global (KGL) invites an experienced professional to join our Chennai team as an InDesign scripting specialist. You will develop XML‑IN workflow templates, implement new JavaScript features in InDesign, and mentor junior developers while promoting knowledge sharing.

We value independence, maintainable code, and willingness to provide production support as needed in a fast, agile environment. Training opportunities will be provided by the company.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in InDesign scripting.
• Strong Perl/Java scripting in InDesign.
• Ability to create scripts with XML and non‑XML environments.
• Ability to work independently and produce well‑designed, maintainable code.
• Willing to provide production support when needed.
• Experience with XSLT and Acrobat/Photoshop scripting is a plus.

Role & responsibilities

• Template development XML-IN workflow.
• To develop new functionalities using JAVA scripting in InDesign.
• To lead/mentor developers and disseminate knowledge through knowledge-sharing presentations .
• To be a part of a strong, experienced, energetic team working on a rapid, agile development schedule.
• To initiate self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
• To provide technical support to the production team.
• Template development XML-IN workflow.

Preferred candidate profile

• Possess 3-5 years experience in Indesign Scripting.
• Strong in Perl/Java scripts in INDESIGN.
• Should be able to create script with XML and Non-XML environment.
• Be able to work independently and produce well-designed, easily maintainable c.
• Be willing to provide production support whenever needed.
• XSLT, Acrobat Professional and Photoshop scripting will be added advantage .
