Job summary

Lowes in Bengaluru is seeking a pricing analytics specialist to develop pricing strategies across categories, analyze cost movements, and support price realization and margin recovery. The role involves exploring elasticity, ROI of promotions, and building dashboards to reveal pricing opportunities.

You will leverage large datasets, apply statistical and econometric techniques, and collaborate with Pricing Strategy Execution, Merchandising, Finance, Analytics COE, Product, and Technology teams

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of assigned businesses across categories
• Support commodity-sensitive businesses by analyzing cost movements, retail price changes, cost pass-through, price realization, and margin recovery
• Identify opportunities to improve the speed and effectiveness of pricing actions following significant commodity or vendor cost changes
• Assess price elasticity and customer response to price changes to support optimal pricing decisions
• Evaluate promotional and pricing investments across incremental sales, units, gross profit, margin impact, cannibalization, and ROI
• Develop post-event analyses and RCM explaining what worked, what did not, why, and recommended actions
• Build financial scenarios connecting pricing decisions to Sales, Gross Margin %, Gross Profit $, ROI, GMROI, inventory productivity, and basket profitability
• Leverage large datasets and apply statistical, econometric, and machine learning techniques to solve pricing and retail business problems
• Develop test/control, pre/post, elasticity, and incrementality methodologies to measure pricing effectiveness
• Build scalable dashboards and analytical frameworks to proactively identify pricing opportunities and risks
• Automate recurring analytical processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
• Collaborate with Pricing Strategy Execution, Merchandising, Finance, Analytics COE, Product, and Technology teams to develop and implement innovative pricing solutions
